Pat Mroczka has been living and working in Chicago's Western suburbs since 1964, the last 19 years in Downers Grove. Main Street and the quant picturesque homes have been her inspiration and have greatly influienced her style and technique. Pat Studied art at the Sinsinawa Dominican Center near Dubuque for 4 years, then at the Art Institute for 2 years. Her favorite tools became pen and ink after experimenting in various media. She was asked by the director of Indian Boundary YMCA to complete 12 renderings to obtain funds for their new addition. This commission helped her become more experienced in water color − and her clients were requesting more of that media. Her technique − and customer base − have continued to develop over the past 20 years. Pat's love of architecture and gardening are now coming together to form a new phase in her talent and subject matter, to the delight of the clients she works with. Each new painting is an exciting challenge, and she's eager to complete it, not only to her client's satisfaction, but her own. Pat has also taught art to children and adults.
